I was contemplating some the big ideas that seem rampant in our world and media today: discrimination. There is racism, sexism, anti-semitism, bullying, homophobia, etc. How can we stop it? I think the best answer came from Morgan Freeman; he said “We stop talking about it.” What could be the benefits of that? If we stop talking about the differences between people, maybe our children will never notice. I think there could be a near-end of discrimination and prejudice if we just stop emphasizing it. Then our children may not pick up on the horrible things said in this world about others.
